Bahrain rules to know before you pack
CPR number
Couriers in Bahrain may ask for the receiver’s CPR (personal ID) number for clearance. Keep it ready with a Bahraini mobile number.
Banned items
Pork products, narcotics and adult material are not allowed; alcohol cannot go by courier.
Medicines
Medicines can need approval from Bahrain’s health regulator, and some are controlled. Send us the names first.
Building, road, block
Bahraini addresses use building, road and block numbers. Include all three.
Documents needed
- Your ID proof (KYC): a copy of your Aadhaar, passport or PAN card. Courier exports from India are declared electronically under CBIC’s courier regulations, and the sender’s identity is part of that declaration.
- Contents list: every item with quantity and a fair value, for example “3 cotton kurtas” or “1 kg mango pickle, homemade”. Mark gifts as gifts.
- Receiver’s details: full name, flat, building number, road number, block number, area, a Bahraini mobile number and, if asked, the CPR number.
- Business shipments: a commercial invoice, plus the exporter’s IEC and GST details where they apply.

Packing tips for Bahrain
- Use a strong, right-sized carton. A box that is too big adds volumetric weight.
- Seal jars with cling film under the lid, tape the lid, then double-bag each jar in zip-lock bags.
- Vacuum-seal or double-bag sweets, snacks and spices so smells and oil stay inside.
- Wrap fragile items separately and fill every gap so nothing moves.
- Write the receiver’s address and phone clearly, and put a copy inside the box.

Items you cannot send
Every carrier and country keeps its own list, but these are refused almost everywhere:
- Cash, currency, cheques and precious metals
- Weapons, ammunition, explosives and fireworks
- Flammable items: lighters, matches, fuel, paints, many aerosols and perfumes
- Loose lithium batteries and e-cigarettes
- Narcotics and any medicine not checked with us first
- Counterfeit goods and anything illegal in Bahrain

How the price works
We do not publish a fixed rate card because carrier rates change. The courier price to Bahrain depends on the carrier and the chargeable weight: whichever is higher of the actual weight and the volumetric weight. Volumetric weight is length × width × height (cm) ÷ 5000. For example, a 50 × 54 × 34 cm box has a volumetric weight of 18.36 kg, even if it weighs less on the scale. Try your box:
